Freda Wilhemina Hauptman

TOBACCOVILLE - Mrs. Freda Hauptman, 88, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Freda was born on October 29, 1926 in New York to the late Otto and Dorothea Gade Tiedemann. Freda had a loving personality that she shared with everyone she met.

In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hauptman; and 2 granddaughters, April Michelle Rosenhauer and Michelle Reena' Hauptman.

Surviving are her children, Diane Rosenhauer (husband, Jim) and Thomas Hauptman; 5 grandchildren, Valerie Rountree (husband, Bobby), Jimmy Rosenhauer, Michael Rosenhauer (wife, Laura), Jenna Hauptman and Maggie Swinson; and 11 great grandchildren, Todd and Dakota Ashley, Christopher Keeter, Devin Michaels, Ryan, Hailey and Edward Swinson, Elyssa Jones, Charity, Linkon and Gage Rosenhauer.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in King with Pastor Kevin Broyhill officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. The family will also receive friends at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Rosewood - Kellum Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 601 N. Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Burial will follow.
