Freda Helen McGee Church

Mrs. Freda Helen McGee Church, age 95 of Walkertown passed away early Wednesday morning, January 13, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Church was born in Forsyth County December 10, 1914 to the late John Floyd and late Carianne Powell Grubbs McGee. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Walkertown and retired from Western Electric Company with 30 plus years of service. In addition to her parents Mrs. Church was preceded in death by her husband Claude William Church. Three sisters and one brother. Mrs. Church is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family members. Funeral services for Mrs. Church will be conducted Friday afternoon January 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Pastor Darrell Fulp and Dr. David Fulp. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Walkertown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 until the time of the funeral service.
