Fred Gray Wilmoth

WILMOTH - RURAL HALL Mr. Fred Gray Wilmoth, 75, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his home. He was born in Surry County on August 13, 1937 to the late Maude Stella Smith Wilmoth and Delbert Joseph Wilmoth. Mr. Wilmoth was a graduate of Dobson High School. He worked at R.J. Reynolds Archer for 32 years. Mr. Wilmoth attended Pfafftown Baptist Church. He was a selfless, family man who practiced the ‘Golden Rule' and taught his family the importance of being close. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilmoth was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Vernon and his brothers, Denton and Smith Wilmoth. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rachel Arrington Wilmoth; three daughters: Kathy (Chris) Roy of Charlotte, Barbara Wilmoth of Clemmons and Stacey (Paul) Roberts of Raleigh; one son, Michael (Leslie) Wilmoth of Rural Hall; four grandchildren: Ethan Wilmoth of Winston-Salem, McKenna Wilmoth of Rural Hall, Grayson Roberts and Hannah Roberts both of Raleigh; two sisters: Mozzelle Brown and Lorene Williams both of Yadkinville. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Pfafftown Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Bounds officiating. Burial will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
