Fred Lee ""Buzzy"" Kreeger, Jr., of Clemmons, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born February 27, 1929 in Forsyth County to Fred Lee Kreeger, Sr. and Maggie Speas Kreeger. He graduated from Old Richmond High School and was the owner of Kreeger Mobility Aids, Inc. Buzzy's gentle spirit befriended people everywhere he went. He used his creative abilities to develop his love for cars, airplanes, and hands-on projects. Buzzy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Frank Hinson Bible Fellowship Class in Winston-Salem. He was a member of Salem Lodge No. 289 AF & AM and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Winston-Salem and the Oasis Shrine. He was also a member of the Gideons International and Veterans of Foreign Wars. During the Korean Conflict he served his country in the United States Air Force in Japan, Okinawa and Korea with the 21st Group Carrier Squadron (Kyushu Gypsy Squadron). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Bernice Kreeger Moore. Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Ruth Beck Kreeger; one daughter, Mrs. Beth Kreeger Sanders and husband, Rick Sanders of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Daniel Sanders and wife Leslie Helena Sanders of Winston-Salem, and Kristen Sanders Moorman and husband, Dr. Drew Moorman of Charlotte; great grandchildren, Madison and Eden Sanders; two sisters, Mrs. Mozelle Kreeger Hendrix of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Mrs. Juanita Kreeger Duncan of Winston-Salem; brother-in-law, Clyde L. Beck, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Kate B.
