Fred Lee Keaton

Mr. Fred Lee Keaton, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away February 7, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born April 11, 1928 in Davie County to the late Gwyn and Gertrude Jarvis Keaton. Fred was a lifelong member of Salem Baptist Church and was retired from Naegele/Fairway Outdoor Advertising Company with 41 years of service. He loved the Lord, his family, his church family, and all his many friends. Fred loved NASCAR, country and bluegrass music, ""Driving Fords"" and going to softball games with his buddies, Jack and Clayton. Fred is survived by his devoted brother, Lester Keaton and wife Helen of Mocksville; a special niece, Rebecca Quintana of Lewisville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, February 12, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Howard L. Wilburn and the Rev. David Pattisall officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for all their love and kindness, and a special thank you to Mr. Bucky Frye, a ""Dedicated Friend"" who made a promise and honored it with compassion and Christian love.
