Fred Henry Johnson

RURAL HALL-Fred Henry Johnson, 86 passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016. He was born in Guilford Co. to the late Henry Rufus and Ethel Mae Boles Johnson.
Fred was a longtime member of Woodland Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and was a recipient of The Purple Heart and The Bronze Star. Mr. Johnson volunteered for many years for the DAV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Johnson and a grandson, Ryan Murray. Surviving are his daughters, Fredia Johnson, Cynthia Bowman-Joyce (Ricky) and Patricia Murray; one granddaughter, Alona Murray; three grandsons, Nathan Murray, Brandon and Michael Johnson; and one sister, Janie Johnson-Daniel (Herb). A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
