Fred Richard DeBusk

Fred Richard DeBusk, 79, passed peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center on Monday, May 21, 2012. Fred was a long term resident of Winston-Salem where he worked for Fredrickson Motor Express for 45 years before retiring. In his younger years, Fred enjoyed fishing and hunting, and after retiring, he spent much of his time gardening in his backyard. Fred, one of two sons of David and Ency, is survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn; their son, Richard of Charlotte; a brother, William (Bill) DeBusk and wife Ruth of Wallburg, NC; and four sisters, Betty Wall of Winston-Salem, Jan Motsinger and Ruby Dudley of Four Oaks, and Stella Scott and husband John of Louisiana.The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens on High Point Road in Winston-Salem with Fred's nephew, Rev. Randy Wall officiating.
