Fred Anderson

Fred Lee Anderson passed away Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 at Novant hospital in Kernersville, North Carolina, with family by his side.

He was born on January 12th, 1945 in Stanly County to the late Bill and Veda Carpenter Anderson. A sister, Wyndola Godwin, also preceded him in death.

Fred is survived by his wife, Edith S. Anderson, of Kernersville, and daughter, Renee, of Albemarle; brothers Henry, David, and Adam; sisters Janice, Geneva, and Hazel; and numerous in-laws, nephews, and nieces.

He graduated from West Stanly High School in 1964, joined the Air Force, and served in Spain for three years. Afterward, he worked as an aerospace machinist in Kernersville.

A memorial service for Fred will be at Smith Grove Church, 25600 Old School Rd., Oakboro, N.C. 28129 on Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 a.m.
