Fred Oakley Adkins

Mr. Fred Oakley Adkins, age 72 of Walnut Cove passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at his home. Fred was born in Virginia, May 10, 1938 to the late Frank and Bertha Smith Adkins. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and had retired from Piedmont Airline / US Air with 37 years of service. Fred enjoyed being a shade tree mechanic. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg Virginia.
