Franklin "Elwood" Flinchum

Franklin “Elwood” Flinchum, 76, passed away at his home on December 23, 2022. He was born on February 23, 1946, in Forsyth County. Elwood enjoyed a successful career in the commercial plumbing industry. In addition to Jeff and Emily Davis who raised him as their own son, Elwood was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Finchum. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Linda Bowles Flinchum; three daughters, Lynnette White (Marty) of Midway, Carolyn Black (Jerry) of Welcome, Emily Allgood (Donnie) of Lexington; six grandchildren, Charity Billings (Jason), Allan Knight (Jessica), Franklin Young, Joshua Peoples (Ashley), Payton Smith (Forrest), Jesse Power; and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2023, at Warners Chapel Church of Christ with Elder Todd Hinson and Minister Allan Knight officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
