Franklin Verne Rex

WINSTON SALEM - Mr. Franklin Verne Rex, 80, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Franklin was born on December 11, 1934 in Flint, Michigan to Franklin N. and Cecelia Horne Rex. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Kernersville Moravian Church. Franklin retired from the Winston-Salem Journal.

In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Lou Kye Rex. Surviving are his daughter, Frankie Jamison (husband, K. T.) of Winston-Salem; his son, Danny Ray Lee (wife, Fe') of Texas; 3 grandchildren, Franklin, D.J. and Jennifer; and 3 great grandchildren.
The family will honor his life with a private memorial service at a later date.
