Mr. Franklin Daniel Ted Gulledge, 91, of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 26, 1919 in Louisville, AL, the son of the late James Thomas and Matilda Tharpe Gulledge. Mr. Gulledge was a member of Advent Moravian Church since 1953. He served with the US Army during World War II and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Following his retirement he was owner and operator of Teds Bait Farm. He was a member of the Sky Knights Parachute Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Benny Gulledge, Leon Gulledge and James Gulledge and four sisters, Bertha Gulledge, Mamie Edge, Ola Mae Blackmon and Gladys Gulledge. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Luvada Rierson Gulledge of the home; two nephews, Floyd Blackmon and wife, Ann and Jimmy Gulledge; and five nieces, Betty Coleman and husband, Buddy, Janice Hopper and husband, Mickey, Judy Doss and husband, Dink, Mary Leonard and Barbara Carter and husband, Morris. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Robert M. Peek, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
