Franklin O. 'Bud' Bodsford

Mr. Franklin O. ""Bud"" Bodsford, 95, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was born August 27, 1917 in Forsyth County to Bessie Mae Brown Bodford and Charles Franklin Bodford. Mr. Bodsford served in the U.S. Navy During World War II. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Bodford and Charles Bodford; and one sister, Lucille Carter. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lineback Bodsford; one son, Bill F. Bodsford (Lois); two grandchildren, David Bodsford (Megan) and Lynn Bodsford Pace (Todd); three great grandchildren, Madeline Pace, Rebecca Bodsford and Katherine Bodsford and four sisters, Lena B. Call, Alice B. Hackett, Ethel B. Stanfield and Margaret Howerton. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Rusty Sieck officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
