Frankie Earl Clifton

KERNERSVILLE - Frank Earl Clifton, 70, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born June 4, 1943 in Forsyth Co. to the late Thomas and Myrtle May McCollum Clifton. Frank was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was owner and operator of Frank's Plumbing and Pump Co. and worked as a plumber for over 50 years. He enjoyed going to Bowman Gray Stadium to watch his family race. Frank loved a yard sale and having his own. He was mechanically inclined and loved to tinker with anything that was broken. He had a great sense of humor and would kid with anybody at any time. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Infant Thomas E., Douglas E. and Gregory E. ""Jeep"" Clifton. Surviving are his wife, Janice Mabe Clifton of the home; three daughters, Shannon Clifton and boyfriend, Ronnie Gregory of Winston Salem, Melissa Neal and husband, Kevin of Lawsonville, Robin Sheppard of King; two brothers, James Clifton and wife, Dessie of Germanton, Leon Clifton and wife, Yvonne of Walkertown; two sisters, Mary Blevins of Kernersville, Betty Fowler of Winston Salem; two half- brothers, Carlos Clifton and wife, Diane of Germanton, Steve Clifton of Walkertown; half-sister, Patricia Aaron and husband, Johnny; four grandchildren, Richard Davis, III, Ronald Davis, Nikki Duncan, and Cathy Nobles; and his beloved dog, Honey Bunny. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to DeAnna Mabe for all of her loving care. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Brother Joe Shanahan officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
