Frank Winton Stainback, Jr.

Mr. Frank Winton Stainback, Jr., 78 beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with his Lord, Thursday evening April 16, 2009 surrounded by his family at his home. Mr. Stainback was born February 13, 1931 in Vance County, the son of the late Frank Stainback, Sr., and the late Hazel Ayscue Stainback. He was retired from Cone Mills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Stainback, and a sister, Barbara Ann Parrish and daughter-in-law, Barbara Stainback. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bertha Parrish Stainback, daughter, Kathy Walker and husband Mitchell, sons, Carl Stainback and wife Kay, Earl Stainback and wife Tammy, Dennis Stainback, Joseph Stainback and wife Tammy, sisters, Vivian Baker and Connie Steed 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Tracy Webb officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
