Frank Herman Reid

Mr. Frank Herman Reid, 78 of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at his home. Mr. Reid was born April 14, 1930 in Forsyth County, a son of the late Willis Reid and the late Dolly Myers Reid. He was an US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War and was retired from R.J. Reynolds with 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Joyce Potts Reid, a son Robert Dean Reid, brothers, Paul Reid, Donald Reid and a sister, Allene Reid. He is survived by his son, Steven Reid and wife Elaine of Gold Hill, brothers, Leroy Reid, James Reid, sister, Margie Willard and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Martha Reid-Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mocksville. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
