Frank R. Naples, Jr., age 91, passed away on August 12, 2022, at 2500 Forest Heights in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on October 24, 1930, in Bridgeport, CT, to Frank R. Naples, Sr., and Susan Damiani Naples. He served in the United States Air Force at Pope Air Field in Fayetteville, NC, during the Korean War conflict and a year in the Aleutian Islands. When asked about his service, he would tell people he “played a lot of baseball at Pope Field.” He had a lifelong career of selling life insurance and was a member of the YMCA (known at the Clemmons location as “The Flag Man”), the Knights of Columbus, and Holy Family Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wives Rebecca Cromer Naples and Marylee Hester. He is survived by his sons, Frank R. Naples, III, and David C. Naples and his wife, Marka and his granddaughters, Anna Rebecca Naples and Mia Langley Naples. Through thick and thin, good and bad, you always had our six, and we are thankful for that. The funeral will be a private family burial with Military Honors provided by the V.F.W. Memorial Honor Guard at Forsyth Memorial Park at a later date. The family would like to thank Mechelle Hayes, Sharon Fisher, Stephanie Owens, and the rest of the staff at Forest Heights Senior Living for the wonderful care he received.
