Franco Joseph

Franco Kiyoshi Kahoi’wailani Joseph, 44, passed away on October 23, 2023. He was born on November 4, 1978, to Tammy Lau Oshiro and the late Walter Elias Kahoi’wailani Joseph. Franco will be remembered for a multitude of things, most notably his sense of humor, kind heart, and love for those around him. Those who met Franco could tell that he had a love for everyone he met. He lit up a room when he walked in and made sure everyone around him was smiling before he left it. Not only did he have a heart of gold, but he was intelligent as well. Described as book and street smart, there were few who could beat Franco in a chess match. He was fiercely loyal to those who meant the most to him, most notably his wife and children. His family was the apple of his eye. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, Franco is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kiyoshi Oshiro, and Grace Oshiro.

In addition to his mother, Tammy, those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kiyomi Shimabukuro; daughter, Tammie Benton; son, Kahanu Joseph; grandson, Kylar Moniz; sister, Jaclyn Rose; bother, Frank Joseph; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
