Francis "Harold" White

Mr. Francis ""Harold"" White, 94, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living. He was born on December 5, 1921 to the late Fred Harrison and Lelia Spainhour White in Stokes County, NC. He was a veteran, who served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II in the South Pacific Theater. Mr. White started his career at Duplan Corporation where he worked for ten years and then continued his career with Western Electric where he retired after twenty five years of loyal service. When someone in the community needed a handy man, he was always available and willing to help. He enjoyed gardening, working outside, hunting, fishing, and time spent with family and friends. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 70 years, Leotta Jenkins White; one sister, Dottie Lou White; and two brothers, Moir White and Fred White, Jr. Surviving are two sons, Gregory White and wife Jeanie of Clemmons and Gary White of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Andrea Lawrence and husband Jason of Winston-Salem, Neil White of Clemmons, and Emily White of Charlotte; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Isabelle White; and one brother, Robert White and wife Rachel of Siloam, NC. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2:00PM at Forsyth Memorial Park with family and friends officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carolina Senior Care of Davidson County, 555- B West Center Street Extension Lexington, NC 27295 or VFW Memorial Honor Guard, 4433 Bashavia Dr. Pfafftown, NC 27040. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Carolina Senior Care of Davidson, County and also Brookdale of Lexington for their loving, kindness and care.
