Francis Southworth Gaylord

Francis Southworth Gaylord found peace February 8, 2011, age 91. Cherished husband of Florence Elizabeth Gaylord (nee Carter) for 65 years. Loving father of Carol Gaylord Fenzl, John Carter Gaylord, and Richard Southworth Gaylord. Proud grandfather of three grandsons and five granddaughters. Great grandfather of two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Francis was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and graduated from American International College. His career in the life insurance business was with the firms of Massachusetts Mutual and Banker's Security. Francis and his family lived for many years in McLean, VA. Following his retirement, he and Florence moved to Gulf Shores, AL. Interment to be at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA. Memorial Service is planned for later this Spring on a date to be announced.
