Frances Snyder

Clemmons
Miss Frances R. (Fran) Snyder, 85, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. She was born April 11, 1930 in Detroit, MI to Frank and Ada Hutchins Snyder. She grew up in Detroit and moved to Winston-Salem when she was 18 years old to begin work at Armour and Company. She worked in Winston-Salem until the plant closed and she moved to Charlotte to continue work. She retired at the age of 52 when the plant closed. She continued to live in Charlotte where she and her Mother called home for many years. Twenty plus years ago, she moved back to Forsyth County to be near her sister, Jackie. While in Clemmons, she enjoyed being around family and friends and loved to play Bingo weekly, if possible, at the VFW. Even though she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, for the last several years, she enjoyed many events at Union United Methodist Church in Lewisville. Fran loved to fish. She spent many weeks of vacation at the NC Coast and in Ft. Pierce, Florida fishing with family and friends. The last few years, she enjoyed camping and fishing at Kerr Scott. She also enjoyed going to the mountains and helping with the vegetable garden as she loved tomato sandwiches. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Charlotte Buero (Sissy) and husband Bob from Michigan, her two brothers, Robert (Bubby) Snyder from Michigan and Florida, James (Jimmy) Snyder from Florida and a brother-in-law Hugh Seats from Lewisville. She is survived by her sister, Jackie Seats of Lewisville, and sister-in-law, Faye Snyder of Ft. Pierce, Florida. Also surviving is a niece, Susie Seats of Lewisville, a nephew, Marty Bullard of Clemmons, and several beloved nieces and nephews from Michigan and Florida. She also loved Jackie's ""puppy dogs"", Lucky and Hank and they will surely miss their Aunt Fran. Everyone who knew Fran, loved her for her sweet and kind manner. Numerous friends will deeply miss her. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Michael Flack and Rev. Edwin Needham officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Flowers are appreciated and memorials may be made to Union United Methodist Church, 8935 Shallowford Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
