Frances Cromer Johnson

Ms. Frances Cromer Johnson, 85, of Clemmons, passed away July 16, 2011 at Clemmons Village II. She was born August 18, 1925 in Forsyth County to William Franklin Cromer and Hallie Rierson Cromer. Ms. Johnson was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church since 1972 and sang in the church choir. She was a graduate of Walkertown High School and was retired from Montaldo's. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Ruth Seivers and Etta Mae Barkley; and 1 brother, Norman Cromer. Ms. Johnson is survived by 2 sisters, Jeanette Cromer, of Winston-Salem and Linda (Larry) Peddycord, of Lewisville; 2 brother-in-laws, Victor Seivers, of Winston-Salem and Jack Barkley, of Advance; a niece, Leane Peddycord, of Furman University; 2 nephews, Jim Seivers, of Lexington and Jerry Seivers, of Winston-Salem; and several great nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Crestwood Baptist Church with Rev. David Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
