Mrs. Frances Cline Hutchins, affectively known as MeMaw, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born May 30, 1926 to the late Floyd Emery Lee Cline and Mary Grace Crews Cline. She retired from Goody's Manufacturing in 1988 with 38 years of service. Soon after retirement she moved to Martinsville, VA where she volunteered at Snow Creek Elementary School and received volunteer of the year in 1994. Her favorite pastime was painting. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Paul A. Hutchins. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Martin (Terry) of Clemmons and Pamela Amos (Donald) of Martinsville, VA; three grandchildren, Kenneth Martin (Christine) of Wake Forest, NC, Teresa Smith (James) of Winston-Salem, Michael Martin (Dawn) of Charlotte, Justin Amos of Martinsville, VA and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. David Benton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 pm Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA or Activities Fund Clemmons Village I, 6401 Holder Rd., Clemmons, NC 27012. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of Clemmons Village I for their care, compassion and love shown to MeMaw during her residency there.
