Frances Arlene Barnhardt Horton

Mrs. Frances Arlene Barnhardt Horton, 82, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at her home. She was born October 13, 1927 in Cabarrus County to the late John F. and Cassandra Pinion Hagler Barnhardt. Mrs. Horton was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Citizen and the Ambassador Bible Class. She retired from AT & T after 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny N. Horton, Sr. Surviving are one son, Benny N. Horton, Jr. (Lois) of Clemmons; four daughters, Patricia H. Willis (Steve) of Pfafftown, Sherry H. Gaither of Winston-Salem; Ann H. Bean (Joe) and family of Barnsville and Bonnie H. Herron (Joe) of Kernersville; four grandchildren, David Willis, April Shermer, Eric Horton and Lisa Moore; four great grandchildren, Ethan Shermer, Colt Shermer, Troy Shermer and Madison Moore. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Union Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Harris and Dr. Harold Fletcher officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
