Frances Hartsell

KERNERSVILLE - Frances Arteen Phillips Hartsell, 91, went into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Frances was born on October 31, 1926 in Gaston County to Herman and Eva Horton Phillips. She was a loving mother, who enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. She and her husband enjoyed their retirement of 15 years living at Holden Beach, NC, before returning to their Kernersville home.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her son, David Hartsell.

Surviving are her loving husband of 70 years, Legrand Hartsell; two daughters, Terry Keene (Harry) and Carol Boone (Mark); son, Michael Hartsell; four grandchildren, Tonya McGuire, Amanda Schipman, Matthew Boone, Jennifer Hartsell; six great grandchildren, Tucker, Tessa, Emma, Colton, Ada, and Micah.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Coley Rimmer officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
