---- - HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. - Frances Ruth Habich, 91, resident of High Springs, Fla., died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in the Tri-County Nursing Center, Trenton, Fla., following a long illness. Mrs. Habich was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late William Earl and Frances Ruth Somsel. She lived most of her life in Philadelphia, working for many years for the U. S. Census Bureau. Following her retirement, she moved to Kernersville, N.C., in 1979, and then to Cape Coral, Fla., in 2001, and most recently to High Springs, Fla., to be near her daughter. She was married to Mr. Henry Charles Habich, with whom she recently celebrated her 70th wedding anniversary. Along with her husband, she was very active and supportive of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mrs. Habich enjoyed making ceramics and giving them as gifts to all of her friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Habich; and by one grandson, William Eglinger. She is survived by her husband, Henry Charles Habich; one daughter, Evelyn R. (David) Eglinger, of Trenton, Fla.; and one son, William (Tamara) Habich, of Lake Ann. Four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.
