Mrs. Frances White Griffin, age 87 of Rural Hall went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday morning, February 7, 2011 at Oak Forest Nursing Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Griffin was born in Randolph County, April 12, 1923 to the late John and late Mobilia White. She was a member of Rural Hall Church of Christ, where she sang in the church choir for many years. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends and the companionship of her pets. Outspoken in her opinions, ""Frank"" lived up to her nickname. A lover of music and word games, she was a talented pianist and Scrabble player. In addition to her parents Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Miller Griffin, Jr., three sisters and two brothers. Surviving are her two daughters, Donna (James) Lawson of Kernersville and Karen Griffin of Rural Hall. Two grandsons Matthew Lawson and Kyle Southern. One sister, Virginia Badal of CA. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by John Snow, Minister and Peter Cain, Minister. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
