Winston-Salem Mrs. Frances Girlene Williams Caudle, 86, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Bermuda Village Health Center. She was born November 17, 1927 in Mocksville to the late Roy E. Williams and Lovie Ellis Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lee Caudle. She was a lifelong member of Smith Grove United Methodist Church. She graduated from Mocksville High School and upon graduation went to work for Western Electric for approximately 17 years. She left work to become a homemaker. She is survived by two children, Kenneth Caudle and wife, Sherry of Pfafftown and Sherri Caudle Mansfield and husband, Doug of Clemmons; four grandchildren, Josh and Roger Caudle and Andrew and Kayla Mansfield; also surviving are two sisters, Inez Williams and Nellie Williams; one brother, Nathan Eugene ""Gene"" Williams and wife, Jean of Rock Hill, SC; six sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Smith Grove United Methodist Church in Mocksville, with the Rev. Tom Albert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 PM today, July 7, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
