Frances Kirkman Carroll

Mrs. Frances Joan Kirkman Carroll, 80, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015.

Frances was born May 14, 1935 to the late Grady Kirkman and Margaret Jones Kirkman. She was an avid cook and baker, enjoying arts and crafts. She was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she sang, played piano, and served as a YW camp counselor. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Carroll and daughters, Pamela Carroll and Shanna Carroll.

Left to cherish Frances's memory are her children, Kathy Hyers (Richard), Christopher Carroll (Kim), Chad Carroll (Robin), and Amanda Ragusa (Robert); grandchildren, Amber, Christopher, David (Rebecca), Travis, Johnny, Ryan, Amoray, Mykenzie, and Autumn; and brother, John C. Kirkman (Ann).

A celebration of Frances's life will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4780 Westchester Road, Winston-Salem. The body will lie in state from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Relief Society Room prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
