Forrest Lee Rierson
Forrest was a member of Poplar Springs Christian Church of King, where he recently fulfilled his promise to God through baptism. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Forrest graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College with a degree in Finance. He was the Payroll Manager for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation. Throughout his 30+ year career in finance, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for his team. But more than anything, Forrest was a devoted father and grandfather. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. In his free time, Forrest enjoyed attending his children’s ballgames, coaching, and spending time with his family. Forrest was the epitome of a family man. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. He was an avid sports fan, with his favorite teams being Duke Blue Devils, Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Yankees. His memory will be forever cherished by all who knew him. The family would like to sincerely thank the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation for all their unwavering love and support. They would also like to thank Dr. Daniel George and his team at Duke Cancer Center for all of their compassion and medical care that they provided. Lastly, we want to thank all of his friends that have supported him throughout his life.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Poplar Springs Christian Church with Griffin Gilstrap, Minister and Don Wallace, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Poplar Springs Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to Poplar Springs Christian Church, 7120 NC 66 HWY South, King, NC, 27021. Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel is assisting the family.
