Floyd Everette Ball

Floyd Everette Ball, 71, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Forsyth County, August 4, 1944 to the late Nannie Lee and Bernard Franklin Ball. Floyd was a dedicated employee Of R.J. Reynolds for more than 34 years. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church for many years. He always got there early to visit with other members. There were two very special Canine companions, ""Nanny"" and ""Gizmo"" he loved and cared for many years. Floyd was a loving father and grandfather who will dearly be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nanny Lee and Bernard Franklin Ball. He is survived by one daughter, Katherine Ball Johnson John W. Royal); two sons, Adam Ball, Chris Ball (Ann); four grandchildren, Casey Johnson, Cole Everette Royal, Logan Wayne Royal, Cody Ball, and Heather Owens. In addition, he had two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, 6135 Ridgecrest Point, Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
