Florence Hedgecock Warner

Florence Hedgecock Warner, 95, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, July 07, 2014.

Florence was born March 18, 1919 to William Hayes Hedgecock and Minnie Mills Hedgecock. In 1941, she married John Samuel Warner, Sr., who precedes her in death. She was a long-time member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she was very active. Florence was a creative person and loved to garden and sew and enjoyed cake decorating. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Alice Williams, and 7 brothers and 4 sisters.

Florence is survived by children, John Warner and wife Nancy of Beulahville, Nancy Brown and husband Paul of King, Susan Garcia of King, and Joel Warner and wife Becky of Colfax; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Florence's life will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 2 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Kitko officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 - 2 pm.
