Florence Sue Fox

GREENSBORO - Florence (Sue) Pike Fox, 86, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Beacon Place Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro. Sue was born on June 28, 1929 in Guilford County to Sidney Clay and Maggie Apple Pike. She graduated from Reidsville High School, and was a longtime member of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women - Circle 2.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Ware, one daughter, Peggy McClellan, two brothers, and five sisters.

Surviving are her husband Robert Fox; a daughter, Cathy Beeson (Richard), three sons, Tim Ware (Lynette), Robert Ware (Ann) and Steve Ware (Tricia), two step-children Robert Fox and Kim Breaux (Doug), 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and one sister Thelma Brooks.

Services for Mrs. Fox will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church in Greensboro. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sue's name may be made to the Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2600 Pisgah Church Rd, Greensboro, NC 27455.
