KERNERSVILLE – Florence White Clark, 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Kernersville Medical Center. Florence was born on December 5, 1937 in Hampden County, MA to George and Doris Collins White. She was a self-taught seamstress, a knitter and enjoyed cross stitching. Florence used her craftiness to make anything she set her mind to. She also enjoyed cooking for others and making sure everyone had plenty to eat, with her fudge being one of her favorite things to share. She had a great sense of humor, and a special love for her canine companion, Heidi. Florence’s main concern was the well-being of family and friends, selflessly giving her time to take care of the needs of others.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Clark, Jr.; and one brother, William “Billy” White.

Surviving are her three children, Kerri Cole (Jeff), Kelly Walsh, and Doris Manring; five grandchildren, Rebecca Mabe, James Mabe, Caitlin Wood (Brian), Stephanie Walsh, and Rhonda Manring; and five great grandchildren, Zackary, Hailey and Nicholas Knight, and Adeline and Emerson Wood.

No formal services are scheduled. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.

Memorials may be made to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, 1510 Bunker Hill- Sandy Ridge Road, Kernersville, NC  27284.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to special friends, Linda Davis, James Brown, Nancy Yandell, and Thomas & Debbie Cormier for being such great help and support in Florence’s time of need, and for being such constant companions to her.
