Flora "Flo" Bassett

Flora “Flo” Ball Bassett, 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at St. David’s Hospital in Round Rock, TX. She was born on March 30, 1931 to Eva Mae Whitman and Dumont Henry Ball in Forsyth County, NC. Flo was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem before moving to Georgetown, TX in 2016. She was a graduate of Gray High School; an active member of Friedland Moravian Church. Flo worked until she was 72 years old. First, she worked for McLean Trucking, and later, for Members Credit Union. Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bassett and a sister, Bettie B. Carmichael. Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Crisci and husband, Rob of Georgetown, TX; niece, Kaye Carter and husband, Ron; niece, Faye Calder and husband Jim; great niece, Kristin Calder; and brother-in-law, BJ Carmichael. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 8, 2019 at Friedland Moravian Church with Rev. Wayne Byerly officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 3:00-5:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek.
