Mrs. Flora Elizabeth Billings Moore, 97, of Winston-Salem, passed away on January 15, 2018, at Accordius Health of Clemmons. She was born on June 18, 1920, in Yadkin County, NC to Henry Winslow and Lilly Dalton Billings. Flora was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, where she was a member for 71 years. She loved working in her flower garden, knitting, and sewing, but she also loved to cook for her family. She was especially noted for her fried apple pies. Her favorite music to listen to was gospel music. Most importantly she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wiley James Spaugh; her second husband, Warren Moore; and her sons, Wilburn and Dwight Spaugh. She is survived by her three daughters, Diana Everidge, Mozelle Spaugh and Monya Ramsey, all of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one sister, Frances Allgood. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Doug Miller officiating. Interment will follow after the service. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
