Felix Rowan Long

Mr. Felix Rowan Long passed away Monday afternoon June 6, 2011. He was born in Forsyth County on December 2, 1918 to the late John and Pearl Sink Long. Felix was a member at Faith Missionary Alliance Church, where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He served in the US Army during World War II. Felix was co-owner of Forsyth Appliance Service. He was preceded in death by son Michael Lee Long, a brother, Jacob, two sisters, Mary Motsinger and Zona Nifong. Felix is survived by wife Mae Love Long; two grandchildren Steven and Justin; two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Grayson; a brother John S. Long; and two sisters Bettie Sue Hicks and Jane Gaddy. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday June 9, at Faith Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Michael Gates officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 before the church service. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made at the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
