Faye Adams Johnson

Sally Faye Adams Johnson, 93, of Lexington, went home to be with the Lord and sing with the angels in Heaven, Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Alston Brook Nursing Facility. Loved by everyone she met, she was born July 2, 1918 in Wilkes County to Jess and Alice Richardson Adams. She was married on October 19, 1935 to Monroe Wesley Johnson, who died in 1970. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, five sisters, a daughter, and a son. Surviving are three daughters, Frances Ader and Priscilla Bauguss & husband of Lexington and Wanda Linville & husband of Winston-Salem, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces & nephews. Not only was she a wonderful mother, God blessed her with many gifts. Friends and family will gather at 3pm on Saturday, October 29 at Christ Wesleyan Church, 2390 Union Cross Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107-6418 (www.christwesleyan.org) for a memorial service only. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220. A special thank you for the loving care she received at Alston Brook.
