Fannie Holt Mounce

KERNERSVILLE- Mrs. Fannie Alice Holt Mounce died November 25, 2011. She was born June 11, 1920 in Stokes Co. , a daughter of the late Luther Elijah and Ida Boyles Holt. She was an active member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved baking fried apple pies for her friends and working with the church women during the yearly church Bazaar as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey Mounce, and was the last surviving member of 16 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her adopted daughter; Theresa Wood Mullis (Don), and four grandchildren; Yvonne Mullis Lawrence (Dwayne), Donald Mullis (Janet), Keith Mullis (Kalpana) and Sharon Mullis Coppley as well as seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Autrey officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103. We wish to thank the wonderful people at the Palliative Care unit at Forsyth Medical Center who gave such loving care to Fannie during her time of need.
