Fannie Brewer Fairley

Mrs. Fannie Brewer Fairley, 103, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Piney Grove Nursing Home. She was born December 15, 1909 in Forsyth County to Avery Brewer Sr. and Sarah Evans Brewer. She was a very special lady that was loved by everyone that knew her. She was the oldest member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Martha Thompson circle and a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Albert Hayes Fairley; three brothers Grover Brewer (Margaret) of Winston-Salem; Roy Brewer (Lorene) of Winston-Salem; and Barney Brewer (Edith) of Lexington. Three sisters; Carrie Giampetro (John) of Fl; Hazel waters (L.H.) of Wilmington, and Flossie Jones (Chris) of Winston-Salem. She is survived by Stepson Carl Fairley (Marilyn) of Fl; one brother Avery Brewer, Jr. (Toni) of Winston-Salem; and numerous special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday April 22, 2012 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Hochmuth officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Mallard Ridge assisted living, and Piney Grove Nursing Home for their special love and care.
