Fallie Martin

Fallie Naomi Scott Martin, 91, of Boone, NC passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at her home. Fallie was born on December 1,1930 to the late Elser Lee (Buck) Scott and Claudia Everhart Scott. She worked in the banking industry for more than 25 years, retiring from her position as Branch Manager at First Union Bank in Clemmons, NC.  Following her retirement, she pursued her passion for travel and antiquing. One of her joys in life was finding a bargain that she could then sell at a profit. She (along with her late husband) owned and operated 421 Flea Market in Hamptonville for many years. Fallie had an inquisitive nature and loved meeting new people. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by Johnny M Hiatt (her children’s father); her husband, Monroe Martin; brother, Franklin Scott; and sister, Rachel Wood. She is survived by her son, Mark Hiatt and wife, Lori; daughter, Susan Burnett and husband, John; daughter, Belinda Bishop and her one precious granddaughter, Lindsey Hiatt. She is also survived by one sister, Dolly Kiger; one niece; and five nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services to honor her life will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Reverend Jody Griffin is officiating.
