Mr. Fairley Edward Nunn, 77, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Stokes Co. on February 29, 1944 the son of the late Robert Bob Nunn and Destie Mona McHone Nunn. Fairley was a member of Westfield Friends Meeting and retired from Wellington Leisure Products in Pilot Mountain. Fairley loved beagles, coon hounds and riding his horses. He trained horses at Circle M for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Joyce; and two brothers, Garner Nunn and Roy Gray Nunn. Fairley is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Moorefield Nunn; his daughter, Angie Nunn (Jay Martin Hill); and his nieces and nephews, Rick Joyce (Rhonda), Deborah Goins (Mike), Lawana Grimsley, Regina Mundy (Eddie), Dawn Walker (John), Penny Bentley and Robert Nunn. He is also survived by his special friends, Jimmy Dale Lawson, Rick Pell, Jim Turney, June Jessup, Allen Hunter, Ben Lawson, Don Moss, Rayford Jessup, Randy McBride and David McBride. A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Westfield Friends Meeting with Pastor Linda Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to: Westfield Friends Meeting Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 33, Westfield, NC 27053 or Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
