Ezlee Winters Harp

Mrs. Ezlee Winters Harp, 95, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at Yadkinville Nursing Center. Ezlee was born on August 27, 1920 in Eldora, Iowa to Earl and Grace Anna Wilkens Winters. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church for the past 30 years serving on the funeral committee, and was a member of the Faye Kiger Women's Circle and sponsored vacation bible school each year. She retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company with 30 years of loyal service. She enjoyed cooking for her family and making chicken pies for the church, but foremost was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Harp; a daughter, Ezlee Elaine Harp; an infant son; one brother, Dale Winters; one sister, Alma Cox; one half-brother, Herbert Winters. Surviving are three daughters to cherish her memory, Barbara Shields of Pfafftown, Margie Forrest and husband William of Rural Hall and Rebecca Frye of Winston-Salem; one son, Robert ""Wayne"" Harp and partner Tony Daniels of Mocksville; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren and one great great grandchild and a half-sister, Georgia Bryant of Booneville. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday April 2, 2016 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Stalnaker and Mr. Ferlin Frye officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ezlee W. Harp's memory to the Mt. Carmel Vacation Bible School 4265 Ebert Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
