Mr. Everette William Beckner passed away November 25, 2009 at Baptist Hospital. He was born on July 9, 1928 in forsyth county, to the late Carl and Lucy Jamison Beckner. Everette was owner and operator of Beckner Plastering Company for over 50 years. He never thought of retiring and worked right up to the day he was hospitalized (5 months before his death). Everette had never met a stranger, which was shown by all the joy and laughter he brought to everyone around him. He had a great love for his family, friends, and huge passion for his work. He is preceded in death by sister Mary Catherine Benedict and brother Cleo Herman Beckner. He is survived by Wife Sandra Beckner, of the home; Daughter Susan Leadbetter and husband Eugene; step-mother Rosa Jamison Beckner; step-daughter Kristen and husband Jay Jackson; two grandchildren Jordan and William Jackson; two god-sons Benjamin and William Hamlin, of King;a sister Orpha Benedict, of PA; and two brothers Frank and Henry Beckner, of PA. The Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday on December 5, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center- Development Office (Pallitave Care Center), Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157-1021
