Evelyn Lane Tribble

Mrs. Evelyn Lane Tribble, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Tribble was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 7, 1934, to the late Victor and Clara Lane. Evelyn was a member of Ardmore Baptist Church. An avid golfer, Evelyn was a member of Maple Chase Country Club, formerly Pinebrook Country Club, for over forty years. She enjoyed her work as an electronics technician at Salem Technologies. She also enjoyed decorating, sewing, arts and crafts, and writing poetry. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Patsch Tribble, and one brother, William Dennis. She is survived by her husband, Robert Mac Tribble of the home; children, Joseph Tribble (Jill) of Upper Arlington, OH, Diane Lynn Tribble (Henry) of Greenwich Township, NJ, and Robert C. Tribble (Jan) of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Bryan Tribble, Katelyn Tribble, Leah Riewerts, Sydney Tribble, Alex Tribble, Tyler Shively, Joy Givens (David), Jenna Shively, Thomas Shively, and Julianne Shively; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Samuel Givens; and one sister, Lisa Hickey (Neil) of Stormville, NY. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 24, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Paul Mullen officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
