Evelyn Hedgecock Reich

Mrs. Evelyn Ruth Hedgecock Reich, 83, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on August 8, 2024. She was born in Forsyth Co. on April 19, 1941, the daughter of the late James Franklin and Ethel Lena Hedgecock. Mrs. Reich was a member of Mizpah Moravian Church for over 40 years, where she served as the church archivist and played in the band. She loved her family and church deeply. Mrs. Reich was very interested in history and family genealogy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Banner Jan Reich. She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Tuten and husband Herb of Hamptonville; a grandson, Ian Blake Tuten and wife Andrea of PA; a great-grandchild, Ira Jan Tuten; a sister, Parie Huffman; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Mizpah Moravian Church with Rev. Cynthia Campbell and Rev. Charlie Fishel officiating. Burial will follow in God’s Acre at Mizpah Moravian Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to Mizpah Moravian Church, 3165 Mizpah Church Rd, Rural Hall, NC 27045.
