Evelyn Redmond

Mrs. Evelyn Price “Sweet Pea” Redmond passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her children.  She was born April 21, 1937, in Wyoming County, West Virginia to the late James Thomas Price and Hazel Lester Price.  Evelyn loved the Lord and attended Rural Hall Church of God, where she attended as long as her health allowed.  She also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything and vacationing in Gatlinburg with her daughter and sister-in-law, Shirley Dixon.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband James Kenneth Redmond; and two sisters, Reva Carter and June Brooks.  Evelyn is survived by her three children: Kevin Redmond (Lynn), Kenny Redmond (Lori), and Sherri Redmond (Tracy Dewitt); four grandchildren: Mallory Brammer (Roger), Ben Redmond (Hannah), Zach Redmond, and Megan Lanning (Brandon); and three great-grandchildren: Keigan Brammer, Kadance Brammer, and Sawyer Redmond.  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, January 31st at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Greg Carswell officiating.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
