Evelyn Murden

Evelyn Murden passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2009. She resided in Carolina Beach, NC, formerly of Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie Dority, Three husbands, Edward L. Redd, William S. Myers, Jr. and James Murden, sister, Ruth Hayes, brother, Woodrow Powell and brother, James Dority. She was born in Eastover, SC on March 9, 1927. She retired from AT&T in k1986. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and was very proud of all. Evelyn is survived by her brother, Daniel E Dority, her children, Evelyn Longinotti, Daniel Redd (Nancy), Dennis Redd (Kathy) and James Redd (Janet), 10 grandchildren, Regina Hindle, Greg Redd, Dawn Howlett, Sandy Yates, Michelle Norman, Jason Redd, Len Redd, Jeremy Redd, Tony Dawson and Shann Dawson, and 21 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel on Sunday from 6p-8p. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 1, 2009 at 1:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
