Evelyn Baker Kiser

Kernersville - Evelyn Baker Kiser, 96, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Hospice Home of High Point. Evelyn was born on January 9, 1920 in Rockingham County to Columbus ""Bud"" and Emma White Baker. She was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church in Browns Summit.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Samuel Kiser; son, Joseph Samuel Kiser; and her brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her son, Billy Wayne Kiser (wife, Sharon) of Kernersville; her daughter, Sylvia Barnes (husband, William) of Reidsville; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one step-granddaughter; ten great grandchildren; and four great greatgrandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
