Evelyn Payne Kious

Mrs. Evelyn Payne Kious, 88 of Winston-Salem died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Kious was born August 28, 1920 in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Fred Heck and the late Mabel Lewis Heck. She was a retired secretary with the Department of Veterans Affairs and a member of Ardmore Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John C. Payne, Sr and Milo C. Kious and a son Michael Payne. Mrs. Kious is survived by he sons, John C. Payne, Larry Payne and wife Barbara, Timothy N. Payne and wife Eileen, and Thomas Payne, sister, Gayle Heck, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Ardmore Christian Church. Interment will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery n Brentwood, MD.
